Marquette sailed to a 16-1 victory over Lexington in the IHSA Class 1A State semifinal at Illinois Field in Champaign on Friday, June 6, 2025.

The Marquette Crusaders responded to Lexington’s one run in the top of the second inning with 10 of their own in the bottom half, propelling the defending 1A state champs into Saturday’s 1 p.m. title game via a dominant, 16-1 victory early Friday.

The Marquette baseball team has earned the right to defend its Class 1A title and that chance begins with Friday's 10 a.m. state semifinal against Lexington at Illinois Field in Champaign.

The Fulton and Marquette High School baseball teams met Monday in a Class 1A supersectional at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.

St. Bede fell to Midland 4-2 during the Class 1A Regional title game on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Stark County High School.

Orion pitcher Maddux Thompson shut out the Storm on four hits, en route to a 6-0 win in the Class 2A Bureau Valley regional semifinals on Thursday. Earlier this season, Orion blanked Bureau Valley 8-0 on just one hit, also at Bureau Valley.
