La Salle County authorities confirmed two people were found dead after first responders rushed to an early-morning fire Thursday in the 4200 block of 2251 Road in rural Sheridan. First responders were dispatched at 12:52 a.m. to a residential fire. After the fire was under control, two bodies were discovered inside. After a day-long investigation, Ronald W Martin, of Sheridan, was charged Thursday afternoon with multiple counts of first-degree murder, according to La Salle County court records.
