Hinsdale Central won its third straight state swimming title in dominant fashion, while Marmion was second. Individually, St. Charles North's Thomas McMillan set a state record in the 100 fly and Oswego Co-op's Chase Maier swept the 200 and 500 free.

IC Catholic Prep, after a dramatic semifinal win over rival Montini, knocked off two-time defending champion Washington 46-17 in the Class 2A final for the first state dual team championship in program history.

UW-Stevens Point commit Bobby Grganto was dominant inside with 20 points, Jack Crowley hit two big threes during a second half run and Downers Grove North locked down defensively to pull away and beat West Aurora 52-45 to win the Class 4A Downers Grove South Regional title.
