A plan to build five flexible amenity areas in downtown Downers Grove appears to have the support of the majority of the Village Council with opponents raising some concerns about cost.

The single-family house located at 3600 Quince Court in Downers Grove was sold on March 18, for $610,000, or $235 per square foot.

The single-family house located at 5436 Blodgett Avenue in Downers Grove was sold on March 25, for $545,000, or $346 per square foot.

A 4,067-square-foot single-family residence, built in 2026, has changed hands.

A single-family home located at 142 West Chicago Avenue in Downers Grove has a new owner since March 10.

Two people were killed Friday in a crash at the intersection of 35th Street and Highland Avenue in Downers Grove, authorities said.
