With a state championship not possible, Wheaton Academy responded nicely to that disappointment claiming a 19-4 win in the third place game of the IHSA State Lacrosse tournament.


Wheaton Academy nearly let its hot start in the Benet boys lacrosse supersectional against Barrington on Tuesday at College of DuPage go to waste. But the Warriors found their footing again and came away with a 17-12 win.


Tervor Martay responded by scoring three consecutive goals in a three-minute span to lift New Trier past Glenbard West 9-6 before a large and spirited crowd at the boys lacrosse supersectional Tuesday in Hoffman Estates.





St. Viator scored early and often in a win over Wheaton Academy on Wednesday.


The Glenbard West boys lacrosse team’s historic season ended one win shy of the program’s first state title as a state-tested Lake Forest squad with a hot goalie handed the Hilltoppers a 4-1 defeat in Saturday’s championship game at a rainy Hinsdale Central.









York’s magical season with hopes for a state title ended on Thursday, as Lake Forest scored four consecutive goals in the second half and powered past the Dukes 9-6 before a huge crowd in the semifinals of the boys state lacrosse tournament at Forest View Educational Center.
