High school sports roundup for Friday, March 5: Josh Harris, Timothy Christian pull away late to top IC Catholic

BOYS BASKETBALL

Timothy Christian 53, IC Catholic Prep 37

Josh Harris had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Ben VanderWal 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Trojans (11-1). Matija Marinkovich and Steve Kwasigroch added seven points and five assists. Timothy Christian outscored ICCP 21-5 in the fourth quarter after the game was tied after three quarters. Danny Roberto scored 18 points and John Hilgart had 13 rebounds for the Knights.

York 51, York 34

Jeff Grace scored 14 points and Nick Hesch added 12 for the Dukes.

Lemont 77, Tinley Park 45

Kyle Kostes scored 19 points and freshman Nojus Indrusaitis added 16 for the Indians (9-1).

Fenwick 66, DePaul Prep 56

Gabe Madej scored 19 points and Bryce Hopkins added 16 for the Friars (10-2, 9-1).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Hinsdale Central 65, Oak Park-River Forest 49

Eleanor Monyek scored 16 points and Amelia McLaughlin added 12 for the Red Devils.

Willowbrook 54, Morton 13

Sophie Sullivan had 12 points and three assists, Taris Thornton added 10 points and four steals and Stephanie Dasbach eight points and eight rebounds for the Warriors.
