Take some time for self-care with opportunities to celebrate Valentine’s Day like a Victorian, make your own candle or take a yoga class in a unique setting. Virtual Victorian Tea - 7 p.m. Feb. 6: Have you ever wondered where the tradition of the white wedding dress comes from? Did Victorians have bridesmaids? What about honeymoons? Learn the answers to these questions by joining Rae and Kim for a virtual Victorian Tea. Bring a warm beverage and a sweet treat and enjoy a delightful conversation with friends.
Yoga at the Museum - 10 a.m. Feb. 15: Led by Dr. Doris of Jade Orchid Wellness, this 10-week session will revitalize both body and spirit. Classes will take place in the Carriage House and start at $10 per class for historical society members and $15 per class for nonmembers. New this season, you can also sign up for 10 classes and get two for free. Each week will feature a new theme for inspiration and rejuvenation.
Make Your Own Candle - 6 p.m.Feb. 21: Join for the historical society for an exclusive, 21-and-older event in collaboration with Sprinkle Candles. Participants will create their own eight-ounce candle in a glass jar, customizable with their favorite scent, candle toppers and a personalized label. Tickets are $35 for historical society members and $40 for nonmembers. Tickets also include two drinks and appetizers.
