Coal City punched its ticket to the dual team state finals for the fourth year in a row with Thursday's 56-14 win over Yorkville Christian in the IHSA Class 1A Coal City Dual Team Sectional.

Batavia saw 12 of its 13 wrestlers advance to the upcoming sectional and won the title at the Class 2A Morris Regional on Saturday.

Brothers Luke and Jake Munsterman were two of 12 Coal City wrestlers to win individual titles at the Illinois Central Eight Conference tournament on Saturday, where the Coalers ran away with a team title with 276.5 points.

A quick start and a pin by Sawyer Davis helped Sycamore pick up the Interstate 8 Conference title with wins over Morris and Seneca.

Coal City is currently ranked No. 1 in Class 1A by illinoismatmen.com, while Providence is No. 2 in Class 2A and Joliet Catholic No. 2 in Class 3A

With a recent title at Abe's Rumble and seven active wrestlers with 100 career wins or more, Coal City's boys wrestling team is putting together a memorable season in its search for a second straight dual team state title, and third in four years.
