Lake Villa District Library reopens

Visits limited to 30 minutes per person per day

Visits are limited to 30 minutes per person, per day, and all library safety mitigations will remain in place.  “We strive to find the best balance between prioritizing both patron and staff safety as well as service to the community,” said Library Director Mikael Jacobsen.  “There is much to consider.”

Public computers and Notary Service will be available; however, study rooms and public seating areas remain closed for the time being. 

“I sincerely hope we will be able to expand services in the near future,” Jacobsen said. “But for right now, we’re looking forward to seeing our patrons in person once again.

Materials return, curbside pickup and remote printing will continue, and staff will be available to answer reference questions by phone or online.
