A 42-year-old Antioch man was charged with burglary after police said he broke into a pharmacy.
Officers were called to the Jewel-Osco, 966 Route 59 in Antioch, about 10:30 p.m. Friday on a report of a burglary in progress. An employee gave police a description of a man and the direction he was last seen running.
Officers later arrested Justin Persha near Hillside Avenue and Orchard Street.
Police said Persha initially gave a false name, but after his identify was confirmed by fingerprints, officers learned he was wanted in Wisconsin for a probation violation.
Persha is charged with burglary, obstructing justice and being a fugitive from justice. If found guilty of burglary, he faces a maximum of three to seven years in prison.
He’s scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
