Long Grove's Buffalo Creek Brewing to host special events, release seasonal beers to celebrate the holiday season.

“Christmas on the Ranch” is the third in a trilogy of Christmas movies shot in the Northwest suburbs — previous entries were “Christmas With Felicity” and “Reporting for Christmas.” The latter premiered on Hulu last year.

The Mexican tradition of Dia De Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a celebrated as a holiday Nov. 1 to honor departed those in the family that have died.

“Haunt Season” was created by Lake Bluff native and Gurnee resident Jake Jarvi for Epic Pictures Group and is mainly filled at the local haunted house attraction “Realm of Terror” in Round Lake Beach.

The theater will present “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Titanic the Musical,” “Always Something There…,” “Catch Me If You Can” and “Million Dollar Quartet Christmas.”

The Halloween Experience trolley tours start Friday, Sept. 20.
