Oswego Police joined forces with the Illinois State Police, local law enforcement and highway safety partners for this enforcement effort.

At approximately 6:39 p.m., Oswego police were dispatched to the 200 block of Northampton Drive for a report of a man that may have fired a gun in the air while walking in the street.

The Illinois distracted driving campaign was funded with federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The scammer tells the victim that officers are waiting to arrest them if they do not pay the fee on the phone.

About 3:24 a.m. Saturday, Oswego police were dispatched to the 200 block of Concord Drive South for a report of shots fired, according to a news release.

A pedestrian killed by a vehicle in Montgomery on April 16 has been identified as Javier Diaz, 40, of Chicago. Diaz was identified by the Kane County Coroner.
Two people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries following a three-vehicle crash in Yorkville on April 16. The impact caused one of the vehicles to roll over and collide with a third vehicle.

A second business has been burglarized within two weeks in Yorkville. Police say their early investigation shows no indication the two incidents are related.

Emmeline Kenealy, 23, was charged following an investigation led by investigators with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
