The Hinckley-Big Rock boys basketball team took on Newark Friday in the third place game at the Little 10 Conference tournament at Somonauk High School.
The 15th Communities vs. Cancer event hosted by Oswego and Yorkville will be held Feb. 7 at Oswego High School. The event starts at 9 a.m. and attendees are asked to enter through Athletics, Door 35. The event will include six basketball games between Oswego and Yorkville.

In Monday's quarterfinals of the 107th annual Little Ten Conference Boys Basketball Tournament in Somonauk, top-seeded Newark advanced with a win over No. 8 Leland, while No. 4 Serena fell to No. 5 Illinois Math & Science Academy.
