The next meeting of the Hilltop Gardeners Garden Club will be held on Thursday, May 8th, 2025 at the Oswego Public Library located at 32 West Jefferson Street in downtown Oswego. The meeting opens at 9 a.m. with social time.

The Aurora Navy League Council 247 will hold a dinner meeting beginning at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, at the Riverview Diner, Montgomery. The public is invited.

The 2025 Open Roads ABATE Summer Books are ready for distribution. You can get your book at most of the stops in the book after March 22.

Indian Valley Theatre in Sandwich is holding auditions for its December show, "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!"

The program " Container Design, The Basics and Beyond” will be presented by Stephanie Dalton on Thursday, April 11 at the Oswego Public Library.

The Sons of the American Legion of Plano Post #395 will be having an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet on St. Patrick’s Day

Open Roads ABATE of Illinois Chapter hosted its 12th annual Pool Tournament and Chili Cook-off on Saturday, March 9 at Plano Hometown Lanes.

The after-dinner speaker is Kendall County States Attorney Eric Weis who will present “How New Illinois Criminal Laws Effect Prosecutors and You.”

Pierce Augustine, Olivia Heckert, and Ben Heckert won in their divisions and were invited to compete in the district competition scheduled for Feb. 24 at Saint Mary School in Plano.

The all-you-can-eat buffet will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Yorkville American Legion, 9054 E. Veterans Parkway.

The next membership meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Plano American Legion, 510 E. Dearborn St. in Plano.

“Beginning Bonsai” will be presented by Ken Benson.

The day’s winners included: girls Olivia Madden in the age 10 group and McKenna Forsyth in the age 12 group; and boys John Schobert in the 10 year old group, Andrew Madden in the 12 year old group and Logan Olsen in the 13 year old group.
