Aurora man killed in motorcycle crash in Kendall County

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Aug. 23 along Route 47 in Kendall County.

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on along Illinois Route 47 in Kendall County on Saturday.

The motorcyclist has been identified as Trent Pahnke, 31, of Aurora. As a result of the investigation into the collision by both the Kendall County Coroner’s Office and Illinois State Police Troop 3, it was determined that Pahnke died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to a news release from the coroner’s office.

The Illinois State Police responded to the crash at about 7:35 p.m. on IL Route 47, between Ament and Walker roads in unincorporated Kendall Township.

According to an investigation by the state police, Pahnke was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on IL Route 47 and hit the front driver’s side of a semi-trailer truck as it was traveling north on IL Route 47.

Pahnke was ejected from the motorcycle and declared dead at the scene, state police said. The truck driver did not report any injuries.

The Illinois State Police did not have any other information about the crash at this time.
