No students were injured after a car slid on ice at the intersection of Route 30 and Fifth Street in Oswego Tuesday morning and rear-ended a Oswego School District 308 school bus.

Two students were aboard the bus when it was rear ended at 7:47 a.m. by a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, said Oswego Police Department spokesperson Cathy Nevara. Neither student was injured, she said.

“A second crash occurred also between two other vehicles,” Nevara said. “It appears there was some lane blockage for about 30 minutes.”

Police departments across the area Tuesday responded to weather-related accidents.
