Newark man killed in crash Sunday night

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a Newark man Sunday night.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a Newark man Sunday night.

The crash occurred at 7:07 p.m. Sunday on Townhouse Road near Roods Road in Big Grove Township, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Joshua Nobs, 38, of Newark, was driving southeast on Townhouse Road when the vehicle he was driving left the road, struck a culvert and overturned, according to the release.

Nobs, who was the only person in the vehicle, was taken by Newark Fire Protection District personnel to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted in coordination with the Grundy County Coroner’s Office, according to the release.
