Albright Theatre in Batavia to stage ‘Blithe Spirit’ comedy as first play of 2022

Sylmarie Soto, Connor Murray and Paige Woods

Albright Community Theatre will launch the 2022 season on a comedic note with “Blithe Spirit” by Noel Coward, running weekends from Feb. 18 through March 5.

This classic comedy follows fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, who has remarried following the death of his first wife, Elvira. When a peculiar seance summons his late wife’s ghost, Charles is forced to deal with his past.

“It combines humor, the supernatural, and an eclectic psychic into a delightful package that will leave the audience charmed,” Director Nick Schaeffler of Warrenville said in a news release. “Noel Coward’s script is exquisite, and the actors really bring it to life. I’m just excited for people to see it.”
