The Pistol Shrimp closed out their 2025 season with a 4-7 loss against the Clinton LumberKings on Thursday, July 31, at Schweickert Stadium in Peru.

The Shrimp are 9-1 in their last 10 games entering Monday’s game and sit in second place in the Northwest Division for the second half.

On Tuesday evening, local little leaguers had a chance to take the field with the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp baseball team.

The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp had a 5-1 week coming off the Prospect League All-Star break, including a doubleheader sweep of the Burlington Bees on Sunday.

The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp went 3-4 last week heading into the Prospect League All-Star break. The Shrimp's James Love and Tyler Deleskiewicz will play in the All-Star Game on Tuesday in Springfield.

The first half of the Prospect League season ended last week. The Pistol Shrimp finished third in the Western Conference Northwest Division with an 11-14 record.

After going 1-5 the week of June 9, the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp flipped the script and went 5-1 last week, improving their record to 11-11. The Shrimp jumped from fourth in the division to second.
