Ninety students across the Ottawa Township High School music department will compete in the 2026 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Solo and Ensemble Contest Saturday, March 7 at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School.

Bureau Valley Elementary Schools are excited to invite families and community members to a special live performance by Farmer Jason, a Manlius native also known as Jason Ringenberg. The concert will take place on Friday, March 13, at 1 p.m. at Bureau Valley High School

Officials running the Bureau County Fair announced that country band Sawyer Brown and Lonestar will headline the annual fair this summer.

March 17 marks the 2026 primary, where La Salle, Bureau and Putnam county voters can pull a Democratic or Republican ballot to pick who appears on the ballot come November. All voters, partisan or not, can weigh in on referendum questions.
