The Streator Public Library recently announced its upcoming events and programs for the third week in March.
- Shamrocks Scavenger Hunt: Monday, March 16, through Saturday, March 21. Attendees can search the library for hidden items. The scavenger hunt will be themed.
- Lego Club!: Monday, March 16, through Saturday, March 21. Participants will be able to play with Legos. The club is open to children ages newborn to five. Children must be accompanied by a parent.
- I saw it on Pintrest: 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 16. Attendees can replicate Pinterest DIYs. The event is intended for teens ages 10 and older.
- Afternoon Watercolor: 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17. Participants will be able to create watercolor paintings. The program is open to children ages 10 and older.
- Music Adventures: 6 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17. Attendees can dance, sing and learn about different musical instruments.
- Cozy Mystery Book Club: 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18. Participants will be able to discuss whodunits. Tea and treats also will be served. The club is intended for adults.
- Game Time: 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 18. Attendees can play classic and modern games. The event is open to teens ages 10 and older.
- Murder Mystery Meetup: 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 18. Participants will be able to discuss whodunits, play a murder mystery game, and research true crime. The meetup is intended for adults and teens.
- Mother Goose Club: 11 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19. Attendees can learn basic social skills through interactive Mother Goose nursery rhymes. The club is open to children ages newborn to four.
- Streator Quarter Auction: 6 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at the Oakley Avenue Klub/Knights of Columbus, 806 Oakley Ave., Streator. Participants will be able to bid on items to benefit the library.
- John Gutz Seed Starting: 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 19. Attendees can learn about seed starting. Take-home seeds from the library’s seed catalog will be available. The program will also be led by local gardener John Gutz. The program is intended for children ages 10 and older.
- Paw Patrol Playtime: 4 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 20. Participants will be able to color Paw Patrol pictures, listen to a Paw Patrol story, and watch a Paw Patrol episode. The event is open to children.
- Uno Tournament: 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 21. Attendees can bring a team or family to participate in an Uno tournament. The tournament is intended for children ages five and older.
