Bureau County Special Schools students from Mrs. Mitchell’s class visited the Tiskilwa Fire Department as part of Fire Prevention Week on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

Fire Prevention Week was held from Sunday, Oct. 5, through Saturday, Oct. 11.

The students were able to explore a fire truck, view a Tiskilwa Fire Department ambulance, and tour the fire department. Fire Prevention Week is a nationally observed week that raises public awareness about fire safety.
