The Illinois Coaches Association has released its Class 1A and 2A All-State teams, with the 3A and 4A teams expected later this week. A number of Times-area standouts earned ICA All-State honors in the smaller classes, including first-team accolades for Seneca and Marquette stars.

In Class 2A, Seneca junior ace Tessa Krull was the area’s lone first-team selection.
For Sandwich, senior pitcher/infielder Brooklyn Marks earned a second-team spot. Third-team honorees in 2A included Fieldcrest sophomore infielder TeriLynn Timmerman and Seneca sophomore infielder Emma Mino.

In Class 1A, Marquette sophomore shortstop Hunter Hopkins was a first-team all-stater.
Second-teamers from the area in 1A included the Serena duo of senior catcher RayElle Brennan and sophomore outfielder Brynley Glade, Earlville sophomore pitcher/infielder Addison Scherer and Newark senior pitcher Dottie Wood. Earning a spot on the third team were Earlville junior catcher/infielder Bailey Miller, Earlville freshman catcher/infielder Audrey Scherer, Marquette sophomore catcher Kelsey Cuchra, Marquette senior pitcher Taylor Cuchra, Serena senior pitcher Maddie Glade and Serena senior infielder Jenna Setchell.
Ottawa quartet named All-Interstate 8
The Ottawa softball team had three players named to the Interstate Eight Conference first team and one who received honorable mention honors. The Pirates finished third in league play with a 5-5 record.
Sophomore shortstop Piper Lewis, sophomore catcher Bobbi Snook and sophomore pitcher Addie Russell were selected by conference coaches to the I-8 first team for their play this spring.
Junior second baseman and leadoff hitter Rylee Harsted was an I-8 honorable mention pick.

Area players named All-Little Ten
Serena had five players and Newark four who were named to the Little Ten All-Conference team.
The Huskers and Norsemen shared the league title for the second straight season, each team finishing 9-1, splitting their two meetings.
Senior catcher, third baseman and shortstop RayElle Brennan earned the honor unanimously for the third time and fourth overall. Senior shortstop and pitcher Jenna Setchell claimed the honor unanimously for the third time, while senior pitcher and first baseman Maddie Glade was honored unanimously for the second time.
Senior second baseman Lanee Cole was a unanimous pick, while sophomore outfielder Brynley Galde also was voted to the team.

Newark senior pitcher and second baseman Dottie Wood was a repeat unanimous selection, and sophomore outfielder and third baseman Adelaide Johnson was a repeat honoree.
Freshman outfielder Rylie Carlson was a unanimous pick, and senior first baseman Kate Bromeland was named to the squad.

Somonauk-Leland sophomore pitcher and shortstop Brooke Bahrey was a unanimous pick.
Sandwich pair named All-KRC
Sandwich senior pitcher and shortstop Brooklyn Marks and junior catcher Kayden Corneils were both selected to the Kishwaukee River All-Conference club.

Timmerman named All-HOIC
Fieldcrest infielder TeriLynn Timmerman was a unanimous first-team selection to the Heart of Illinois Conference Team.
Streator has four named All-ICE
A quartet of Streator Bulldogs earned a place on the 2025 Illinois Central Eight All-Conference Team.
Senior infielder Mya Zavada, senior outfielder Alexcia Middleton, sophomore catcher Morgan Kostal and senior pitcher Makenna Ondrey were all named All-ICE.

Tri-County also names honorees
Seneca junior Tessa Krull was named the Tri-County Conference Pitcher of the Year, while Henry-Senachwine senior Lauren Harbison was named the TCC Player of the Year for the 2025 season.
Both were unanimous first-team picks to the Tri-County All-Conference Team, as were Times-area standouts including Marquette sophomore Hunter Hopkins and Seneca sophomore Emma Mino. Also on the first team from area ballclubs were Marquette senior Taylor Cuchra and Seneca senior Alyssa Zellers.
Area second-teamers included Seneca sophomores Graysen Provance and Hayden Pfeifer, Marquette sophomore Kelsey Cuchra, Dwight senior Averi Jury and Dwight junior Madi Ely.
TCC honorable mention went to the Woodland/Flanagan-Cornell trio of seniors Olivia Chismarick and Ella Derossett plus sophomore Emma Palaschak, Marquette senior Makayla Backos, Dwight freshman McKenna Woodcock and Seneca senior Audry McNabb.
