Leland blacktop closed for bridge repair

County Highway 52, also known as the Leland Blacktop or East 1950th Road, will be closed for a bridge replacement beginning Monday, June 9.

The La Salle County Highway Department said in a Tuesday news release that the bridge, which crosses Little Indian Creek at the north edge of Leland, will be closed about three months, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes around the construction site.
