Seneca High School honors December 2024 students of the month

The following students were selected by the Seneca High School teachers and staff as the December 2024 Students of the Month: Layla Fessler, Christopher Smith, Grant Siegel and Emily Aldridge.

The following students were selected by Seneca High School teachers and staff as the December 2024 Students of the Month.

Layla Fessler

December 2024 Student of the Month: Layla Fessler

Fessler is the daughter of Dustin Fessler and Jennifer McGrath of Seneca. She plans to attend a four-year university to pursue a master’s degree in marine biology. She is in Conservation in Action, Art Club, Spanish Club, the National Honor Society, the Math Team, Scholastic Bowl, Student Ambassadors, Drama Club, track and field, ACES/WYSE, band and jazz band.

Christopher Smith

December 2024 Role Model of the Month: Christopher Smith

Smith is the son of Luri and Trevor Lorntz from Seneca and Dave Smith from Somonauk. He plans to attend Joliet Junior College to pursue a degree in agriculture production and management. He is in FFA, the NHS, Student Ambassadors and the Student Advisory Council. Throughout high school, Smith has maintained a GPA of higher than 4.0 and is recognized as an Illinois State Scholar.

Grant Siegel

December 2024 Irish Pride of the Month: Grant Siegel

Siegel is the son of Becky Siegel and Mark Williams of Seneca. He plans to attend college to pursue his education and play golf. He is in various sports, including golf, basketball and baseball. He also is involved in FFA.

Emily Aldridge

December 2024 Rookie of the Month: Emily Aldridge

Aldridge is the daughter of Crystal and Ryan Aldridge of Seneca. She plans to pursue a career as an ultrasound technician. To achieve this goal, she plans to enroll in a two-year college program focused specifically on ultrasound training. She is involved in several clubs and activities, including FCA, FFA, the CIA, volleyball and track. Aldridge said she would like to join additional clubs in the coming years and expressed her appreciation for this award and to everyone who has supported her throughout her high school experience so far.
