Donate nonperishable food items during Fill a Ford event in Princeton, Walnut, Sheffield

3 Bureau County youth agricultural organizations compete in competition with a cause

Some of the donations dropped off for the food drive Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, at the Stage Coach Theatre in Dekalb. The food collected will be assembled into dinner boxes to provide local families with a Thanksgiving meal.

Help Bureau County youth agricultural organizations battle it out, all while helping the community during the Fill a Ford event.

On the morning of Small Business Saturday, each of the three participating organizations will be stationed from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 30, in separate communities around the county. Stop by and donate any nonperishable food items to benefit those in need. Drop boxes also be available at the locations.

The locations are:

  • Bureau County Farm Bureau Young Leaders at Royal Super Mart, 124 S. Main St., Sheffield
  • Bureau County 4-H at Sullivan’s Food, 125 Backbone Road E., Princeton
  • Bureau Valley Middle FFA at Walnut Acres Country Store, 105 York St., Walnut
