Lyle Hopkins of rural Polo uses a John Deere tractor to move a burning round bale of hay away from a machine shed owned by his neighbor, Herschel Newcomer, during a Monday evening fire at 7015 W. Judson Road, southeast of Polo. Several fire departments assisted the Polo Fire Department on the call. There were no injuries. (Earleen Hinton)
