High school football: Week 2 results; recaps for every game in the Kendall County area

Oswego 35, Geneva 6: Mariano Velasco had a 25-yard pick-six on the first pass of the game, and Oswego carried that momentum on both sides of the ball for a 35-6 victory over Geneva.

Yorkville 27, Joliet West 13: Yorkville senior quarterback Jack Beetham threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for a score, and the Foxes scored TDs on their first three drives of the second half to pull away from a halftime tie to beat visiting Joliet West 27-13.

Oswego East 24, Willowbrook 7: Oswego East senior Jasiah Watson celebrated his birthday in style with a career-high 208 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Wolves to a 24-7 win at Willowbrook.

Manteno 28, Plano 14: Ethan Taxis ran for 76 yards and two TDs and also had five catches for 67 yards for the Reapers (0-2). Dylan Saunders threw for 108 yards.

Wilmington 49, Sandwich 6: Nick Michalek threw for 55 yards and a 13-yard TD for the Indians (0-2), who managed just 91 yards of offense in the loss.
