The 40th annual Fill the Bus Toy Drive will now take place on Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 3-6 p.m. near the Dick’s Sporting Goods lot on Route 50 in Bradley.
Due to snow and hazardous travel conditions over the weekend, the event was postponed from its planned date of Nov. 29, organizers said.
Now co-hosted by the Dugan family and state Rep. Jackie Haas, R-Kankakee, the drive aims to help local children wake up to gifts on Christmas morning.
Donations of unwrapped toys will be accepted at the River Valley Metro Bus in the front parking lot.
“Help us make holiday magic for children in our community this year at our annual Fill the Bus Toy Drive,” Haas said in a news release. “Together, we can make a difference and ensure every child gets a gift this holiday season.”
This event is in partnership with more than a dozen other community leaders, organizations and businesses.
All toys will be distributed by local community organizations.
