The Marquette High School boys basketball team traveled to Amboy Tuesday night to take on Hinckley-Big Rock in a sectional semifinal.

Sycamore junior Ema Durst won the first girls wrestling title in school history and just the third overall wrestling title for the Spartans. Kaneland's Angelina Gochis also won a championship. DeKalb's Larisza Gomez-Guevara and Alex Gregorio-Perez also won medals.

The DeKalb High School chapter of Future Farmers of America held a barnyard zoo Wednesday night as part of National FFA Week. The event was open to the public and offered the chance to learn about farming and see farm animals up close.
