All are welcome at walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Sandwich Thursday, no appointments necessary

Clinic at Sandwich High School from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday

SANDWICH - A walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic is set for Thursday at Sandwich High School, and no appointments are necessary, with health officials offering Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

The walk-in clinic will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Sandwich High School, 515 Lions Road in Sandwich, and all are welcome, as long as they’re 18 or older, according to the DeKalb County Health Department, which is hosting the clinic.

If you’d like to make an appointment, which is not necessary for the Sandwich High School clinic, you may do so at www.events.juvare.com/IL-IDPH or by calling 815-748-2401.

There also are additional opportunities for those wishing to receive a vaccine at Northern Illinois University’s Convocation Center, including first dose appointments available with Moderna or Johnson & Johnson next week, according to the health department. It’s open to everyone, regardless of citizenship, residency or place of employment, as long as you are 18 years old.
