Sycamore's Krista Cobb and Sydney Fabrizius and Kaneland's Delainey Baran Peyton Haywood enter the state meet seeded in the top 10 in their respective events. DeKalb, Indian Creek and Genoa-Kingston athletes will also compete in Charleston starting Thursday.

The Sycamore girls won the Class 2A Genoa-Kingston Sectional on Friday, claiming a conference and sectional crown in the same season for the 1st time in school history. Sandwich's Sunny Weber dominated the distance races, Peyton Heywood pulled of an upset in the high jump.

Sycamore, Kaneland, Genoa-Kingston, Sandwich, St. Viator, Plano, Crystal Lake South, Dixon, Rochelle, and Carmel are among the teams that took part in the Class 2A girls track sectional Friday at Genoa-kingston High School.
