Here are the 2025-26 All-Interstate 8 Conference boys wrestlers, as voted on by I-8 coaches.

Tyler Lockhart took fourth for Sycamore on Saturday at the Class 2A Boys Wrestling State Tournament, leading three area wrestlers from podium, all from Sycamore. Cooper Bode was sixth for the second straight year and Liam Schroeder was fifth.

Class 1A, 2A and 3A wrestlers compete for the state title Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at State Farm Center in Champaign.

Ayden Shuey, Cam Matthews, Tyler Lockhart and Liam Schroeder will compete at state for the first time. Jayden Dohogne is going for a third time, while Cooper Bode is going for a second. All six are going with the same goal in mind: Bringing home a medal.

DeKalb went 5-for-5 in do-or-die third-place matches Saturday at its 3A regional, including for No. 7 seed Hussul Greer. He beat the second-seeded wrestler twice and was one of nine Barbs to reach the Barrington Sectional.

Batavia saw 12 of its 13 wrestlers advance to the upcoming sectional and won the title at the Class 2A Morris Regional on Saturday.

Collin Hughes, Liam Schroeder and Michael Olson won their weight classes and helped Sycamore earn the team title at the 50th annual Sycamore Wrestling Invitational on Saturday.

After going 1-2 on Monday, Sycamore picked up a 43-30 win over Moline on Tuesday morning before dropping duals to Lyons, 42-32, and Rochelle, 38-33.

After a tough loss Tuesday to open Day 2 of the Don Flavin Invitational, the DeKalb wrestling team had a long talk, then stormed back with two big wins.

Julian Hartwig won all three of his matches, but it didn’t prove to be enough for host DeKalb, which dropped three duals on the opening day of the Don Flavin Invitational on Monday.

Sycamore dropped a 37-30 decision to Hersey in its second dual during Monday’s Don Flavin Invitational at DeKalb. The narrow loss followed an opening 45-27 loss to Lincoln-Way West, but the Spartans bounced back to finish with a victory.

Adam Carrick was familiar with Tyler Etes from the football field, and the led to confidence and a victory on the wrestling mat. It also helped Sycamore defeat Rochelle 48-24 on Thursday.
