DeKalb Park District’s annual Daddy Daughter and Heroes Dance is Feb. 15

DeKALB – The DeKalb Park District will host its annual Daddy Daughter and Heroes Dance for children to dance with their dads, uncles, grandpas, role models or other heroes.

The dance will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15 in the Hopkins Park Terrace Room and Lower Level, 1403 Sycamore Road, DeKalb.

The dance is intended for girls ages 3 to 13.

The dance features dancing, contests, professional photographs, guessing games, light snacks and desserts. Daughters also will receive a take-home flower from Willrett Flower Company. The theme of the dance is “Boots ‘N Beauties Hoedown.”

“The Daddy Daughter and Heroes Dance is one of our favorite events of the year because it brings families together in such a meaningful way,” DeKalb Park District recreation supervisor Emily Kvasnicka said in a news release. “This year’s Boots ‘N Beauties Hoedown theme adds a fun and lively touch, inviting everyone to step into their favorite country attire! We’re excited to see families come together for an evening of dancing, joy, and connection.”
