Ben Bernabei racks up five TDs in Eureka College loss

Former St. Bede Bruin standout Ben Bernabei became the fifth Eureka player in program history to rush for five touchdowns against Wisconsin Lutheran on Oct. 23.

But it wasn’t enough as the Red Devils lost 68-41.

Wisconsin Lutheran registered a program-record 603 yards of offense while the Red Devils finished with a season-high 575 yards offense. The teams combined for 17 touchdowns on the day.

Bernabei had 27 carries for 161 yards rushing, including touchdowns of 3, 5, 2, 15 and 1 yards.

On the season, Bernabei has rushed for 249 yards and six TDS on 51 carries, all second best on the team.

The Red Devils (2-7) will close the season at home Saturday vs. St. Norbert at 1 p.m.
