The Bureau County Farm Bureau has announced a couple events, intended to raise funds for the Bureau County Farm Bureau Foundation.
Over the past 25 years the BCFBF has given away over $111,000 through college scholarships and helps the Ag in the Classroom program reach teachers and students in the county.
This year close to 13,000 students from 15 educational centers have taken part in these supported programs through our Ag Literacy Coordinator.
The foundation will be celebrating Ag Week with an online giving campaign that will kick off on March 7 and run through April 1.
The online campaign makes donating easy and provides support for agriculture programs and scholarships. Through the campaign, 100% of net funds raised by the Bureau County’s fundraising page will go back to the county for local programs.

The foundation will also be hosting a freezer meal pick up, where participants can pick up 10 prepackaged meals to serve three to five people.
The meals will be prepared and frozen before they are packaged in a sealed box for pickup. The meals will need to be picked up between 4 and 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 28.
The pick up will cost $175, with orders and payment due to the bureau by March 7.
The offered menu consists of hickory smoked pulled pork, bbq pulled chicken, country fried steak with gravy, smoked pork loin, sweet chili meatballs, shave bbq beef, broccoli cheese soup, baked mostaccioli, chicken bacon ranch pasta and pulled pork mac & cheese.
Pre-registration is required by March 7. To place an order call 815-875-6468. Payment is required before delivery.
