Ella Sharp, sr., Sycamore - Playing at No. 1 for the Spartans, Sharp would have qualified for the state tournament this year, had it not been canceled due to the pandemic. She went 13-7 after taking second at the sectional.
Evie Taylor, jr., Kaneland - Taylor was on the second-place team at No. 1 doubles for the Knights in the Interstate 8 tournament. She was also 11-5 at No. 1 singles when Schrepferman was injured. Overall she was 20-8 and would have earned a state berth at doubles.
Ashley Olson, jr., Sycamore - The No. 2 singles player for the Spartans picked up a racket for the first time in June. She went 13-4 and was third in the Interstate 8 tournament.
Abby Golembiewski, soph., and Olvia King, jr., Sycamore - Another would-have-been qualifier for the Spartans, the No. 1 doubles team went 13-6 for the Spartans. They were seeded No. 1 at the sectional but withdrew due to an injury in the semis.
Emma Hardin, sr., and Abby Bourdage, soph., Sycamore - The Sycamore doubles team went 19-1 at the No. 2 spot. They would have earned a spot in the state tournament as well.
Megan Gates, soph., and Lauren Gates, soph., DeKalb - The No. 1 doubles duo for the Barbs went 5-8 on the year in the tough DuPage Valley Conference. Of their four conference losses, three were to state qualifiers. They ended the sectional a win away from state.
